Estée Lauder Companies asked Surface Digital to design and develop a new careers portal for their Australian, New Zealand and South African businesses.
The communication objective was to reinforce Estée Lauder's position as an employer committed to nurturing career pathways from retail through to head office.
To ensure that our solution would deliver on the projects objectives, full discovery was carried out involving workshops to identify and document user profiles within key user groups. Further research was carried out to identify some of the more compelling journeys and experiences that some Estée Lauder staff have had. The user research helped drive decisions about content design and information architecture that have directly infomed the end result.
Creative briefings were held during the discovery phase to clarify global brand guidelines, capture Estée Lauder Companies' vision for look and feel as well as to brainstorm interaction ideas for content design.
The insights gained throughout the discovery phase enabled our team to develop a detailed functional requirements specification for the client's approval. Once the functional specifications were resolved, visual designs were created for the new website using an iterative process.
More than just a stunning user experience, the new Estée Lauder Careers website platform provides tools to enable administrators in the Australian, New Zealand and South African businesses to easily manage local content and integrates with PageUp recruitment software where jobs and other online recruitment tools are managed.
